BayCare is one of the largest employers in the Tampa Bay area, operating 16 community-based hospitals, long-term acute care facility, home health services, outpatient centers, and employing thousands of physicians. The Manager Risk Adjustment Program will lead and implement risk adjustment strategies, operations, and program development aligned with BayCare goals.
Key responsibilities include using provider performance metrics and data to identify opportunities and gaps, working with physician and facility practices to maintain best-practice documentation and HCC/ICD-10 coding practices, providing supervision and training to risk adjustment team members, and collaborating with leadership to evaluate and adopt risk adjustment technology solutions.
The position is full-time, salaried, with work hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, based in Tampa, FL with remote work allowed if residing in Florida.
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology, healthcare, or related disciplines required.
- Active certification in one of: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience managing a risk adjustment program with supervisory responsibility and budget accountability.
- Minimum 5 years management/leadership experience in a healthcare organization.
- Preferred: Master's degree and 2+ years in a lead risk adjustment role with Medicare Advantage health plans.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
