Responsibilities include providing expertise in coding and classification systems to healthcare providers, improving reimbursement and revenue cycle, timely coding of charts per ICD-10 and AHA guidelines, supporting Health Information Services department clerical and technical needs, and supervising HIM personnel.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years inpatient or outpatient coding experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Certification such as CPC, CCS, CIC, RHIT, or RHIA via AHIMA or AAPC
