Rocking Horse Community Health Center (RHCHC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing healthcare services to vulnerable populations. We are seeking a Dental Billing Specialist to join our patient invoicing and insurance billing department.
Responsibilities include collecting payments for patient services, performing coding edits to claims, processing EDI files, uploading electronic claims to the clearinghouse, contacting patients regarding outstanding balances, assisting with budget plans for balances, and posting payments from insurance and patients.

Position Information:

- Status: Non-Exempt, hourly
- Hours: Full-time
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
- Prior dental billing/accounting experience preferred
- Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel required
- HIPAA and patient health information (PHI) compliance required
Skills:
- Strong math, reading, writing, and reasoning abilities
- Knowledge of accounts receivable software, spreadsheet and word processing software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Work Environment:
- Interaction with patients and public
- Moderate noise level
- Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, or tissues
- May include evenings, weekends, overtime
