At GI Associates, you will join a nationally recognized independent gastroenterology practice focused on delivering compassionate, collaborative care to patients in Southeast Wisconsin. This role plays a pivotal part in leading and managing the revenue cycle team to ensure timely and accurate billing and accounts receivable operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing daily revenue cycle workflows and managing work queues to meet performance targets
- Providing operational leadership including staff scheduling and coverage
- Serving as first-level escalation contact for complex billing issues and payer disputes
- Managing claims submissions, resolving billing discrepancies, and monitoring Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) dashboards
- Monitoring team productivity and quality metrics, providing coaching and conducting performance audits
- Driving process improvements and compliance with payer policies and regulations
- Mentoring and developing team members with ongoing training and evaluation
- Collaborating across departments to address systemic revenue cycle challenges

Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or billing and coding preferred
- 3 to 5 years of progressive revenue cycle operations experience
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, claims processing, denial management, and payer requirements
- Prior leadership or senior subject matter expert experience
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Proficiency with EHR/practice management systems
