As a Revenue Cycle Specialist, your responsibilities will involve reviewing accounts receivable, following up on unpaid accounts, resubmitting claims, and assisting attorneys, adjustors, and patients with billing inquiries. The role requires knowledge of insurance plans, workers’ compensation, and personal injury billing, with experience in third party billing, accounts receivable, or medical billing/coding certification.
Additional skills include excellent communication, strong organizational abilities, proficiency with computer applications, and the ability to multitask and work independently.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in third party billing / Accounts Receivable or medical billing/coding certification
- Knowledge of insurance plans, workers’ compensation, and personal injury
- Computer literacy including proficiency with Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Office
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to interact effectively with doctors, attorneys, patients, and coworkers
