Revenue Cycle Specialist

The Revenue Cycle Specialist is responsible for accurate and timely processing of claims and patient accounts to ensure maximum reimbursement. Collaborate with revenue cycle teams, admissions, utilization review, and compliance to maintain strong processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Submit patient demographic and insurance info accurately and on time.
  • Verify patient eligibility and benefits; reverify when needed.
  • Submit clean claims electronically and via mail.
  • Manage relationships with insurance payers.
  • Follow up on denied and rejected claims for timely resolution.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and pursue outstanding balances to reduce delinquency.
  • Identify and improve billing processes and denial resolution.
  • Respond to patient billing and insurance inquiries.
  • Maintain precise records of claims and accounts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelors degree preferred in business or related field (statistics, computer science, analytics).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in revenue cycle roles with benefit verification, billing, and AR follow-up.
  • Experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding; familiar with medical terminology.
