Since 1974, Associated Retina Consultants has had an experienced team of Arizona eye specialists focused on diagnosing and treating retina, macula, and vitreous humor issues to protect and save patients' vision.
The Medical Payment Poster will ensure the timely and accurate posting of payments received from insurance companies and patients. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and knowledge of insurance procedures including referrals, co-pays, deductibles, allowable, CPT codes, and Dx codes.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately post payments into the billing system
- Review payment information for accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve payment issues
- Update patient accounts and communicate outstanding balances
- Research and resolve payment posting errors
- Assist with additional billing tasks
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and practice information
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in medical payment posting or billing
- Experience with billing software, NextGen preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding, and insurance billing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Problem-solving skills for issue resolution

Physical Requirements:
