This role is a full-time, onsite Senior Revenue Cycle Specialist position located in Northbrook, IL. The candidate will manage the revenue cycle processes, focusing on payment posting, denial management, and insurance reimbursement trend analysis, with a proactive approach to process improvement and automation including AI technologies.
Key responsibilities include payment posting for various payer types, managing accounts receivable follow-ups, analyzing and resolving claim denials, identifying denial patterns, collaborating with billing, coding, and payer teams, monitoring aging reports, compliance maintenance, clear documentation, and workflow improvements through automation.
Required qualifications include strong healthcare accounts receivable knowledge, hands-on payment posting and reconciliation experience, deep understanding of denial management, ability to analyze payer trends, familiarity with EOBs, ERAs, CPT/ICD codes, and insurance guidelines, strong analytical skills, healthcare billing systems, EHR/RCM platform experience, and proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
Preferred qualifications include experience with automation or AI tools in revenue cycle management, knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma, and medical billing/coding certifications (e.g., CPC, CCS).
