Smyles & Company Family Dentistry is seeking a highly experienced, bilingual (Spanish) Front Office Insurance Specialist to join our compassionate, mission-driven dental team. We are a referral-based practice serving children with special healthcare needs—including those with cognitive, medical, developmental, and behavioral complexities.
This full-time position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, collaborative environment and has proven skills managing Medicaid and insurance operations with precision and integrity.
Candidates will be tested on entering and interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), creating accurate Verification of Benefits (VOBs), accessing Illinois Medicaid eligibility data, managing insurance spreadsheets and billing records, posting and tracking insurance payments, navigating Practice Management Software (Open Dental preferred), and providing excellent customer service in both Spanish and English.
Minimum 2 years of dental insurance billing experience required. Fluency in Spanish mandatory. Strong understanding of Medicaid guidelines, billing, and recoupment protocols required. Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and digital communication tools. Detail-oriented and organized.
