The Claims Variance Associate 3 serves as a lead expert in data analysis, reporting, and formulating recommendations. This role provides guidance and support to variance associates and assists management with gathering, verifying, and analyzing Managed Care underpayment variance reports for all Baptist Health South Florida entities. The position is also responsible for organizing and preparing Managed Care Insurance Carriers projects and Insurance Lawsuits. The estimated pay is $28.55 - $34.55 per hour depending on experience.

- Prior experience with Hospital Collection Reimbursement.
- Ability to train personnel.
- Knowledge of all required fields on CMS 1500 and UB forms for hospitals and diagnostic facilities.
- Extensive knowledge of claims adjudication, insurance Explanation of Benefits, hospital payment methodologies, medical terminology, Revenue Codes, DRG guidelines, ICD9, CPT4, Modifiers, and HCPC codes.
- Proficiency with online claim status and internet research.
- Strong skills in Microsoft systems and Excel (passing Basic Excel test required).
- Analytical, critical thinking, detail oriented, problem-solving abilities.
- Good math, writing, interpersonal and excellent time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
