Under the direct supervision of the Revenue Cycle Ancillary Supervisor, this position is responsible for ensuring the timely collection of accounts receivable, monitoring account activity, and providing appropriate follow-up to maximize reimbursement for ancillary billing. The candidate will perform collection activities including status calls, appeals, and account reviews, research and resolve claims denials, monitor denied claims for corrections or appeals, review pre-bill claim holds and internal edits to ensure clean timely claim submission, take proactive follow-up actions to secure payments, compose and submit appeals to insurance carriers, and assist Financial Counselors with patient inquiries.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of medical claims billing, denial management, insurance follow-up, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and improve revenue cycle performance.
To be successful, applicants should have strong knowledge of medical claims billing and reimbursement processes, ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, proficiency in basic computer applications and billing systems, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: Minimum 2-4 years in medical billing, collections, or denial management preferred, with ancillary billing experience strongly preferred.
