We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to work Fridays and/or every other Saturday. You will perform dental cleanings, provide preventive care, and educate patients on oral hygiene.
Responsibilities include performing thorough dental cleanings (scaling, root planing, polishing), conducting oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments, taking and developing dental x-rays, administering local anesthesia as needed, applying fluoride treatments and sealants, educating patients on home care, assisting dentists during procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.
Qualifications:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Proficiency with dental software systems (e.g., CAD, Epic, Eaglesoft)
- Knowledge of infection control protocols
- Pediatric patient experience preferred
- Familiarity with medical coding for dental procedures is a plus
- Excellent patient assessment and communication skills
