Coastal Periodontics is expanding and seeking a skilled, personable, and outgoing Dental Hygienist to join their growing hygiene department. The office emphasizes personal and professional growth, team culture, and high standards of care as a periodontics specialty office.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive new patient exams, acquiring necessary X-rays/CBCT, educating patients on treatment, and providing non-surgical periodontal treatment such as scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance. Hygienists are integral to patient care from initial visits.
Proficiency in aseptic techniques, familiarity with electronic record-keeping, experience in dental office settings, understanding HIPAA regulations, assisting dentists during procedures, knowledge of medical terminology and vital signs monitoring, dental imaging techniques, and understanding dental coding practices are necessary skills.
This is a full-time, in-person position based in Myrtle Beach, SC, offering $50 per hour pay rate and benefits including 401(k) matching, health insurance, paid time off, and professional development assistance. Registered Dental Hygienist certification is required.
