Dental Hygienist

North Park Family Dental

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for patient care and a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices, ensuring that patients receive exceptional oral health services in a welcoming environment. This role involves performing comprehensive dental cleanings, patient assessments, and supporting overall dental health initiatives while maintaining strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

  • Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, including cleaning, scaling, X-rays and polishing teeth to promote optimal oral health.
  • Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop personalized care plans.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term dental health.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Prior experience in general dentistry settings is highly desirable. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is preferred for efficient documentation management. Knowledge of infection control protocols, medical coding, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice is important. A strong understanding of oral anatomy and familiarity with medical imaging and radiograph interpretation in clinical settings is beneficial.
