Seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Dental Hygienist to join a small dental practice with one hygiene position. Responsible for providing high-quality patient care including dental cleanings and patient education on oral hygiene. Must understand dental procedures, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

Conduct patient assessments including medical histories and periodontal evaluations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and importance of regular visits.
Assist dentist during exams and procedures when needed.
Maintain infection control standards according to HIPAA.
Accurately document patient care including medical coding as necessary.
Work effectively with pediatric patients.
Stay current with dental hygiene advancements and participate in continuing education.

Requirements:

Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist.
Nitrous monitoring license preferred.
Proficient in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Strong knowledge of dental medical terminology.
Experience in dental office preferred.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry a plus.
