Dental Hygienist

Jonathan Hawley DDS

$1,000 sign on bonus to be paid at end of 90 day probationary period, plus additional yearly bonus for each year completed.

Seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Dental Hygienist to join a small dental practice with one hygiene position. Responsible for providing high-quality patient care including dental cleanings and patient education on oral hygiene. Must understand dental procedures, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient assessments including medical histories and periodontal evaluations.
  • Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using aseptic techniques.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and importance of regular visits.
  • Assist dentist during exams and procedures when needed.
  • Maintain infection control standards according to HIPAA.
  • Accurately document patient care including medical coding as necessary.
  • Work effectively with pediatric patients.
  • Stay current with dental hygiene advancements and participate in continuing education.

Requirements:

  • Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Nitrous monitoring license preferred.
  • Proficient in infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of dental medical terminology.
  • Experience in dental office preferred.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with pediatric dentistry a plus.

Hourly pay $45 - $50

Location: Abilene, TX 79605, in person work only.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience in dental office preferred. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry a plus.
