Registered Dental Hygienist

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.

Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe treatment plans.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs.

Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.

Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.

Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper medical coding practices.

Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing reassurance and addressing concerns promptly.

Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for managing patient records and documentation review.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.

Experience in pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is highly desirable.

Ability to perform dental assisting tasks including chairside support during general dentistry procedures.

Skilled in taking vital signs, medical imaging, and assessing patient health status before treatments.

Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation and record keeping.

Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while demonstrating professionalism and empathy.

Requirements & Qualifications

Registered Dental Hygienist license required. Experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix preferred. Knowledge of dental and medical terminology. Familiarity with infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance. Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
