We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with experience in clinical procedures and patient care. This role supports general dentistry through advanced technology and ensures a welcoming environment for patients.
Responsibilities include assisting dentists chairside using four-handed dentistry, preparing treatment rooms with sterile instruments, taking and developing dental X-rays (including 3D scans) while following infection control and HIPAA protocols, managing patient records with EMR systems like Dentrix ensuring accurate documentation and coding, monitoring vital signs, assisting with dental imaging, maintaining knowledge of dental terminology and procedures for specialties like prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, and supporting infection control and safety standards in the clinic.
Qualifications include proven dental assisting experience in busy clinics, proficiency with EMR systems (Dentrix), familiarity with medical coding and documentation, knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures, ability to operate dental X-ray and 3D scanning equipment, strong understanding of dental terminology and clinical procedures, excellent communication skills, and preferred certification in radiography or X-ray technology with additional training in pediatrics or prosthodontics.

Compensation is $15.00 - $22.00 per hour.
- Proven experience as a dental assistant in a busy clinic environment
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix
- Familiarity with medical coding and documentation preferred
- Knowledge of infection control, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures
- Ability to operate dental X-ray and 3D scanning equipment
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including pediatric dentistry
- Excellent communication skills
- Certification in radiography or X-ray technology highly desirable
- Additional training in pediatrics or prosthodontics is a plus
