This is a contract part-time role as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Medical Billing and Coding for developing an online Medical Billing course serving both traditional-aged and adult learners. Work remotely, approximately 10+ hours per week, managing your own schedule while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
You will validate standards and domains covered in the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam, recommend course content sequencing, review and improve course materials, define key topics and current industry practices, validate course content accuracy, and provide feedback throughout the development process.
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field; active or recent professional medical billing and coding experience; knowledge of CBCS exam domains; and strong written and verbal communication skills for asynchronous feedback.
Preferred qualifications include CBCS or equivalent certification (CPC or CCS), teaching or training experience, and prior SME experience in online or workforce education.
