Duties include:
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings including scaling and polishing
- Conduct patient assessments, document medical histories and dental conditions in EMR
- Assist dentists using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Operate dental radiography equipment following safety protocols
- Maintain infection control standards and instrument sterilization
- Review medical records for accuracy, coding, and treatment plans
- Provide chairside assisting to support efficient workflow
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygienist license with current state certification
- Experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry preferred
- Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix
- Knowledge of dental and medical terminology, anatomy, infection control
- Experience with imaging and vital signs monitoring
- Strong patient communication skills across all age groups
- Understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical records management
- Ability to work efficiently in a team using aseptic techniques
Competitive hourly pay at $65/hour. Work location is in person in Fishkill, NY.
