Optometrist Opportunity – Join a Locally Owned and Operated, Patient-Centered Practice
We are looking for a talented, motivated, and compassionate Optometrist to join our locally owned and operated team. This is not a corporate environment and not an ophthalmology setting. You will not be pushed through an overloaded schedule of 30+ patients per day. Instead, our doctors typically see a manageable 15–20 patients daily, allowing time to provide thoughtful, high-quality care.
This role is ideal for an Optometrist who values both clinical excellence and efficient practice flow. We want someone who is confident in patient care, accurate with medical optometry coding, and committed to contributing to a positive, service-driven office culture.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive eye exams with a strong focus on quality care
- Diagnose and manage a variety of ocular health conditions
- Prescribe glasses and recommend visual solutions based on patient needs
- Educate patients on preventive care and long-term eye health
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and HIPAA-compliant documentation
- Work closely with staff to support an organized and efficient patient experience
- Stay current with developments in optometric technology, treatment, and standards of care
- Assist with eyewear recommendations to improve patient satisfaction and confidence
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy, physiology, and clinical terminology
- Comfortable seeing pediatric patients; experience is a plus
- Familiarity with medical optometry billing and coding
- Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to HIPAA compliance
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Optical sales or healthcare customer service experience is a plus
Why Join Us? We respect your skill, your time, and the value you bring. Our office was built around quality care, meaningful patient relationships, and a more balanced pace. Here, you can focus on doing your best work without being buried in high patient volume.
If you are looking for a locally owned and operated office where you can grow professionally while delivering excellent care, we’d love to hear from you.
