The position is for a reliable and knowledgeable dental assistant to join the expanding team in a part-time capacity. Key responsibilities include assisting with clinical duties (taking x-rays, intra-oral images, preparing patients for procedures, supporting chairside), maintaining accurate medical records, documenting procedures with dental terminology, and assisting with dental coding for billing purposes.
Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience assisting chairside in a dental environment. Familiarity with Dentrix software is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols is mandatory to ensure patient confidentiality and safety. Experience with general dentistry practices and dental imaging techniques is advantageous. Excellent patient service skills and professionalism are required.
Work hours are Monday to Wednesday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with an hour lunch, and Thursday 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM. The practice offers approximately 6-8 weeks off per year for personal rejuvenation. Compensation is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour.
