We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental hygiene care to patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to the highest standards of practice. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in assisting with various dental tasks.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize Dentrix Ascend software for patient scheduling, record keeping, and treatment planning.
Conduct assessments of patients' oral health and provide recommendations for further treatment if necessary.
Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures related to general dentistry.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with medical coding is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
