This role is for a Technical Specialist - Expert in HB, PB, and Claims, requiring Epic certification in these modules.
Key responsibilities include analyzing and documenting business requirements, testing system changes, providing primary support for end users, guiding workflow design and build in Epic software, performing in-depth workflow and data analysis, partnering with leaders for system optimization, and maintaining data integrity and security.
Candidates must understand and apply revenue cycle billing, hospital and professional billing, claims processing, and third-party application knowledge. They will develop testing scripts, handle payer/plan creation, cash management, and manage complex billing scenarios such as behavioral health, long-term care psychiatric billing, and Medicare exhaust billing.
The role demands excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills to work effectively with clinical and business leaders and third-party vendors.
This is a 12-month contract position offering remote work with possible after-hours availability and infrequent travel.
- Minimum 8 years of experience with Epic PB, HB, and Claims.
- Epic certification required (Resolute PB, HB, Claims).
- Minimum five years of progressive revenue cycle/healthcare experience with demonstrated Epic build expertise.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with business and revenue cycle leaders on Epic workflows.
- Knowledge of relevant privacy regulations including HIPAA.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in small groups.
- Experience with third-party vendors like Experian, Relay Health, Hyland OnBase.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
