The Revenue Integrity Coordinator supports and maintains the Charge Description Master (CDM) for all Samaritan Health entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of the CDM and its interface into billing and medical record systems. Key responsibilities include: daily review and analysis of charging errors; coordinating CDM maintenance activities such as charge additions and pricing updates; collaborating with auditors and revenue cycle teams to resolve claim issues; supporting system enhancements and upgrades; processing CDM change requests to maintain compliance; and working with clinical departments to align billing with clinical workflows and standards. The role also involves analysis and reporting of revenue and usage claim data in preparation for charge and regulatory updates.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Health Care Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years relevant experience in CDM Management or IT; patient accounting experience preferred. Coding certifications (CPC, COC, CCA, CCS, RHIT) preferred. Experience with large automated patient billing systems, medical terminology, coding, electronic data interchange, claims processing, and regulatory guidelines. Strong Excel skills and technical knowledge of revenue generation sources (CDM, Charge Capture, CDI, Coding). Ability to interpret and report large data volumes. Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
