We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. Duties include performing comprehensive dental cleanings, scaling and polishing while ensuring patient comfort and safety; conducting patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current health status; assisting with chairside procedures like imaging, coding, and documentation review; providing patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care; maintaining accurate medical records compliant with HIPAA; supporting infection control protocols using aseptic techniques; collaborating with dentists during procedures including pediatric and specialized dentistry; monitoring vital signs and recognizing medical emergencies; ensuring the clinical environment meets safety standards including OSHA guidelines.
Must have a valid Dental Hygienist license per state regulations. Preferred experience in dental office settings, though new graduates are welcome. Proficiency or training available in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or EMR systems. Knowledge in dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, pediatric dentistry, imaging, vital signs monitoring, chairside assisting, and strong understanding of HIPAA, medical coding, and documentation review is required. Excellent patient care and communication skills needed.
