This position ensures accurate and compliant billing processes across Government, Commercial Health Plans, and Medical Group payers while managing claims resolution and refund processing. Responsibilities include analyzing payer correspondence, escalating trends, maintaining contractual compliance, and addressing reimbursement issues promptly.
Key duties:
- Assure billing compliance with payer requirements
- Escalate credit issues when trends are identified
- Analyze and resolve claims issues with payers
- Review claims payment according to contracts
- Process payer and patient refunds accurately and timely
- Ensure revenue recognition matches contracted allowances
- Communicate reimbursement issues for resolution
- Document refund requests and maintain logs
- Handle calls regarding refund requests professionally
- Meet daily productivity goals of 30-35 claims worked
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in home infusion
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and healthcare record software preferred
- Knowledge of HCPC and CPT codes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Understanding of insurance terms, medical terminology, and billing requirements
