Candidates must hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school and possess a valid state dental license. Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions is required as well as proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols is expected. Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with patients and staff. Ability to perform basic medical coding for billing purposes is required. Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus.
