Dental Medicaid & Insurance Processing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to join our dental office team. This role is key to ensuring smooth operations at a small general dentistry practice specializing in care for special healthcare needs children.

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day dental office operations, patient accounts, dental Medicaid and insurance claim processing, billing, coding, financial management, medical clearances, record keeping, benefits explanation, benefit verification, report generation, bookkeeping, appointment scheduling, and patient service.

The position requires strong clerical and organizational skills, proficiency with Open Dental software, Medicaid and private insurance systems, and Microsoft Office. The candidate must possess excellent customer service skills, familiarity with dental terminology, multi-line phone system experience, and ability to maintain accurate patient records.

This is a full-time, in-person position located in Saint Charles, IL, with no weekend shifts. The candidate must be fluent in Spanish and English, have at least 2 years of dental office and computer skills experience, and demonstrate professionalism, phone etiquette, and hospitality.

Salary ranges from $25 to $31 per hour, depending on experience, with benefits including 401(k) with matching, paid time off, paid holidays, retirement program, bonuses, and paid education opportunities. Medical insurance is not offered.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a dental office and computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with insurance & Medicaid claim processing, billing, and coding
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required
  • Ability to maintain patient records accurately
  • Experience managing office operations and bookkeeping
  • Professionalism and phone etiquette
  • Comfortable working with children, especially those with special health care needs
  • Dependability with perfect attendance and willingness to learn and follow directives
