Health Information/Quality Improvement Technician

Thrive Behavioral Health, a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in Rhode Island, seeks a Health Information/Quality Improvement Technician. This full-time role involves reviewing, entering, and updating data in the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring timely and accurate completion of client documentation, assisting with client registration and health information functions, and supporting quality assurance and compliance activities.

Key duties include collecting client registration information, conducting client orientation, data entry and scanning documents into the EHR, reviewing clinical documents for accuracy, processing client information requests while maintaining confidentiality, completing record audits, utilization reviews, and contributing to data management projects and reports.

The position requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. A High School Diploma with 2 years of relevant experience or an Associate degree in health information technology or human services is preferred.

Work schedule is Monday-Friday, first shift in Warwick, RI. Starting pay is approximately $23/hour.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office or behavioral health setting with electronic medical records
  • Associate degree in health information technology or human services (preferred)
  • Excellent attention to detail and data entry skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver's license or ability to obtain necessary transportation
