Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist / Glaucoma Specialist to join a collaborative and highly respected medical team. This is a long-term onsite opportunity in a modern, well-equipped clinical environment where patient safety and quality of care are top priorities.
The physician will provide comprehensive ophthalmology and glaucoma care in both outpatient and surgical settings, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive ophthalmology and glaucoma specialist services, including clinical evaluations and surgical care; providing consultative services at bedside for non-ambulatory patients and outpatient clinic for ambulatory patients; performing the full range of oculoplastic and glaucoma procedures within scope of privileges; ensuring procedures are scheduled and completed timely following consult referrals; providing discharge education and coordinated follow-up instructions for all clinical and surgical patients; communicating test results to patients and care team per clinical standards; and maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record system.
Qualifications are Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO); completion of an ACGME-accredited residency; subspecialty fellowship required for glaucoma/oculoplastic care; active, full, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth; current BLS and ACLS certifications; active DEA certificate; and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary clinical teams in a high-volume environment.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM; rotating on-call coverage minimum one week per month including weekends and holidays; on-call physician must be reachable by phone within 15 minutes and onsite within 60 minutes when called.
