Are you tired of working in the hospital setting? Tired of working weekends and holidays? Tired of the politics? Tired of being short-staffed, over-worked, and under-appreciated? Ever thought about working in a clinic, but were worried about losing your nursing skills? Welcome to the best of both worlds.
We have a busy, growing, private four provider oncology/hematology clinic looking for an Infusion Nurse. This job offers all the benefits of working in a clinic (no weekends, holidays, or call) while still allowing you to utilize your hands-on nursing skills (IVs, port access, medication infusions, reaction management, nursing judgment). Work with providers who appreciate you and patients who bond with you. You and your fellow staff members will all be part of the same team working together to provide excellent care to our patients during this challenging time in their lives.
Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and other medications as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort; performing IV insertions and managing vascular access for treatment delivery; conducting thorough patient assessments and monitoring vital signs; documenting patient care activities in EHR systems; collaborating with the oncology team to develop and implement care plans; and educating patients and families about treatment processes and side effects, providing emotional support.
This position allows you to develop close relationships with patients while working collaboratively with staff and providers in a comfortable outpatient clinic setting.
