Foot and Ankle Specialists of Tennessee is a patient-centered practice dedicated to providing comprehensive podiatric care in a compassionate and professional environment. The Physician Assistant (PA) will work collaboratively with podiatric physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations
- Assist in office-based procedures and wound care treatments
- Formulate and implement treatment plans under physician supervision
- Perform wound care management, debridement, and dressing changes
- Provide patient education on care, prevention, and ongoing management of chronic wounds
- Document clinical findings and treatment plans accurately in the EMR system
- Coordinate patient care and follow-up with referring providers
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current and unrestricted Tennessee PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- NCCPA certification required
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging and lab tests (including ICD and CPT coding) and interpret results
- Meticulous documentation within medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations
Skills:
- Experience with EMR systems such as Modernizing Medicine, Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD-9/10 and CPT coding procedures
- Skilled in physical examinations and patient assessments across diverse populations (pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal patients)
- Excellent communication for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations for occupational health or long-term care enhances versatility

Master’s degree from accredited Physician Assistant program, current Tennessee PA license or eligibility, NCCPA certification, experience with diagnostic evaluations including ICD and CPT coding, proficiency with EMR systems (Modernizing Medicine, Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks), strong clinical knowledge in podiatric medicine, wound care experience, meticulous documentation skills, good communication skills, and knowledge of healthcare regulations.
