Dental Hygienist

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, promote oral health education, and support the overall success of the dental practice. Duties include performing dental cleanings (scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments), conducting patient assessments (medical histories, vital signs), assisting chairside in general and pediatric dentistry, taking and interpreting dental X-rays, educating patients on oral hygiene, maintaining accurate medical records with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, supporting infection control and sterilization protocols, collaborating in four-handed dentistry, and reviewing documentation and medical coding for billing and compliance.

Experience preferred includes proven work as Dental Hygienist in busy dental office or clinic, familiarity with Open Dental, knowledge of dental and medical terminology, experience with pediatric patients, strong understanding of HIPAA and medical records management, prior dental assisting experience, and certification from an accredited dental hygiene program. Additional certifications in medical coding or infection control are advantageous.

Compensation is hourly at $50.00 - $55.00. Benefits include employee discount and flexible scheduling. Position is onsite at The Woodlands, TX.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Certification in dental hygiene from an accredited program
  • 2 years preferred experience as Dental Hygienist
  • Knowledge of dental and medical terminology, infection control procedures
  • Experience with pediatric dentistry a plus
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Open Dental desirable
  • Understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical record management
  • Preferably prior chairside or dental assisting experience
  • Additional certifications in medical coding or infection control beneficial
