ED Charge Capture Specialist - Emergency Department Administration - Full Time - 1st Shift

Huntsville Hospital Health System

Perform audits of all Main and Madison Emergency Department accounts to identify appropriate Evaluation and Management (E/M) levels, supply charges, pharmacy charges, and CPT coded procedures for services provided in the EDs. Manually enter charges based on Cerner documentation. Audit ED charts and accounts to determine and process charge corrections. Provide required information regarding drug charge discrepancies to Pharmacy personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years clinical experience in a hospital or physician office setting
  • Effective communication skills with internal hospital departments
  • Ability to effectively and accurately manage a large volume of medical records

Education and Licensure:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Alabama nursing license (RN or LPN) preferred
  • Prior clinical experience may be considered in lieu of license
