Sharecare is a digital healthcare company delivering software and tech-enabled services across the healthcare ecosystem to improve care quality, outcomes, and costs. This position is responsible for completing FMLA/Disability forms timely and accurately while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing FMLA/Short Term Disability paperwork
- Communicating with patients and physician coordinators regarding disability/FMLA paperwork
- Processing medical record requests in compliance with HIPAA and HITECH
- Completing FMLA/Disability forms using industry standard responses
- Handling incoming calls and maintaining call data logs
- Validating and processing all incoming requests for Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Ensuring form completion within 5-7 day turnaround after payment
- Managing patient forms and PHI requests for invoicing and system input
- Establishing professional relationships with account clients
- Monitoring EMR accounts for timely processing of all requests
- Verifying patient information and conducting quality screenings to protect patient data
- Maintaining Accounting of Disclosure Log for all released medical records
- Providing attentive and compassionate service to patients and representatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical records or similar setting
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to type 50 wpm
- Experience with fax, copier, and scanning equipment
- Self-motivated team player with proven customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
