This entry-level position involves receiving and processing patient health information requests in compliance with company and facility policies, maintaining confidentiality and security of privileged information, managing patient records, preparing new charts, creating digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records, responding to records requests, and assisting with administrative duties such as answering calls, handling faxes, and data entry.
Typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts within 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years old, possess basic computer proficiency, and demonstrate professional communication skills in English. Experience in healthcare environments, customer service, and production/metric-based work is advantageous.
The role requires adherence to HIPAA standards and medical privacy regulations. Additional health screenings and vaccinations may be required depending on the client's policies.
