Rockford Eye & Laser Center is a medical/surgical ophthalmology-optometry practice located less than 1 hour from NW Chicago suburbs in a fully equipped 7000 square ft facility. This part-time optometry position involves predominantly postoperative care for patients after cataract surgery and preoperative care for LASIK patients. The candidate will have opportunities to practice medical optometry including care for patients with glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes, and acute eye conditions such as corneal foreign bodies, corneal ulcers, and conjunctivitis. Subspecialty support from cornea, retina, and pediatrics specialists is available for complex cases. The facility is equipped with Cirrus OCT, FA, Pentacam, topography, an on-site Excimer laser, and fully integrated electronic medical records. The practice provides great support staff including technicians and scribes to assist with patient workup and chart documentation.

Base salary is prorated at $180,000 - $200,000 annually.
