We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pain Management Physician to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pain management and a comprehensive understanding of various medical disciplines. This role involves diagnosing and treating patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach to enhance patient care and improve quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments to determine pain management needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Formulate individualized treatment plans integrating pharmacological, interventional, and alternative therapies.
- Administer appropriate pain management therapies, including medication management, injections, and other interventional procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including specialists in immunology, diagnostic radiology, geriatrics, and podiatry to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients on pain management strategies, including lifestyle modifications and rehabilitation techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with coding standards and regulations.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Pain Management or related specialty.
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment.
- Experience in managing chronic pain conditions is preferred.
- Proficiency in performing spinal taps and understanding vital signs monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and discharge planning processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to pain management services is a plus.
