Cherry County Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced onsite Lead Clinical Informatics Specialist to join the team. This leadership role is responsible for guiding the Clinical Informatics Team, supporting clinical staff, and optimizing the use of healthcare technology systems to improve patient care and workflow efficiency.

The Lead Clinical Informatics Specialist serves as a key liaison between clinical teams and information technology. This role provides leadership and oversight of the Clinical Informatics Team while ensuring effective use, adoption, and optimization of clinical systems and electronic health records (EHR).

Key Responsibilities include promoting the hospital's mission and values, providing leadership to the Clinical Informatics Team, liaising between clinical staff and IT to improve workflows and system efficiency, supporting optimization of Meditech EHR workflows and performance metrics, coordinating system onboarding and training, acting as escalation point for EHR issues, managing system configuration, leading implementations, coordinating go-lives and downtime events, overseeing helpdesk functions, managing e-prescribing setups, supporting system integrations, participating in on-call rotations, ensuring HIPAA and compliance standards, and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Requirements:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required
Minimum of 3 years of Meditech experience
Clinical informatics experience within healthcare system
Advanced education or certifications may substitute for experience
