Clinical Application Coordinator

The Clinical Applications Coordinator (CAC) supports multi-service clinical software applications including Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and Dentrix Dental Enterprises System. Key responsibilities include coordinating and supporting clinical applications, customizing software and EHR templates for medical staff, training users, and supporting reporting and compliance such as meaningful use and GPRA requirements.

The role involves developing and supporting RPMS EHR clinical reminders, troubleshooting software applications, updating compliance guidelines, compiling reports, ensuring continuity of patient care, collaborating with medical and technical staff to develop solutions, providing training across service areas, and coordinating with IT staff to implement and support integrated software packages.

The Coordinator must be self-motivated, able to multitask under pressure, have a bachelor's degree in medical informatics, nursing, IT, or related field with at least two years experience in healthcare software applications especially RPMS and EHR systems. HIPAA and privacy certifications are required. This position requires a valid Washington State driver's license and compliance with tribal policies including possible background checks and drug testing.

Tribal member and Indian preference applies, with additional preference for honorably discharged veterans.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Informatics, Nursing, IT Application, Database Specialist, or related field
  • At least two years of experience with clinical software applications, specifically RPMS, I.H.S. EHR, and Dentrix Dental Enterprises or other healthcare software
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred
  • Valid Washington State driver's license and eligibility for Tribal vehicle insurance
  • Annual HIPAA and Privacy certificates
  • Ability to work indoors and coordinate with other Tribal programs
  • Background clearance may be required
  • Ability to train medical staff, develop workflows, and troubleshoot clinical software
  • Must be able to work under pressure and multitask effectively
