As a non-profit organization, our dedicated team of professionals, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, works to diagnose and treat all types of mental illness.
WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?
As a PACT Nurse Specialist at Cumberland County Guidance Center, you will play a pivotal role in our PACT Team, delivering intensive, community-based services to adults navigating serious mental illness. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive nursing assessments—both at program entry and annually—to evaluate mental health symptoms and behaviors related to prescribed medications. You will meticulously monitor individuals for any side effects while enhancing their understanding of medication benefits and promoting compliance. Your organizational skills will shine as you oversee the monthly inventory of medications and medical supplies, while also preparing the medical agenda for the upcoming month.
In addition to managing medication orders and administration, you will provide supportive counseling and psychoeducation. This empowers individuals to master their symptoms and disabilities, making a profound difference in their lives while fostering resilience and independence in the community.
- Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse's License or Advanced Degree for Nursing Specialists
- Two (2) years of experience working with individuals facing chronic mental illness
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of community resources and agencies
- Willingness to accept on-call rotation and work as part of a team
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five-year driving record
