Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO)

Seward Community Health Center

Seward Community Health Center seeks a Full-Time Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) experienced in rural family medicine, pediatrics, and women's health. The center serves patients newborn to 100+ years old in a small community surrounded by natural beauty and outdoor activities.

Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and treating acute and chronic illnesses; conducting physical and sports exams; providing urgent and basic emergency care; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests; educating patients; collaborating with specialists; participating in community outreach; documenting visits in EHR; maintaining HIPAA confidentiality; and contributing to quality improvement.

Qualifications include MD or DO from accredited medical school, board certification or eligibility (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine), minimum five years of physician experience preferably in primary care, valid Alaska license or ability to obtain, with ongoing certification and training per credentialing policies.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Board Certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Minimum five years physician experience, preferably in primary care
  • Current Alaska physician license or ability to obtain by start date
  • Maintain certifications per credentialing policies
  • Proficient in clinical quality care, communication, leadership, decision making, and technology use
