Surgical Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

The Richland Hospital and Clinics is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dedicated care team across outpatient clinics in Richland Center, Muscoda, and Spring Green. This role includes providing full-spectrum primary care services to a diverse patient population and performing first assist surgical duties under physician supervision.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic testing.
  • Provide patient education on treatment, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
  • Conduct routine therapeutic procedures such as wound care, suturing, immunizations, and minor office procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams for coordinated care.
  • Assist in surgical procedures including tissue retraction and intraoperative support.
  • Prescribe medications as allowed by licensure.
  • Document accurately and maintain compliance with regulations including Rural Health Clinic and CMS guidelines.

Education and certifications required:

  • Physician Assistant License or Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Work schedule: 8-hour shifts, in-person.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Experience and skills in patient assessment, minor procedures, surgical assisting, and medication prescribing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare team members.
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
