ProHealth Care’s premier behavioral health program seeks a full-time board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist to join their team in Waukesha County, WI. The program includes outpatient therapy, inpatient psychiatric care, partial hospitalization, and integrated behavioral health services.
This position involves psychiatric evaluations, medical management, patient consultation, and treatment implementation. The psychiatrist will work alongside a multidisciplinary team including advanced practice providers, nurses, psychotherapists, and social workers.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing psychiatric evaluations on new patients and establishing treatment plans using age-appropriate techniques
- Managing assigned caseloads
- Prescribing and managing patient medications and treatment
- Completing psychosocial assessments
- Maintaining legible and timely patient records and accurate billing information
- Collaborating with advanced practice nurses and supporting therapists to provide high-quality care
- Attending educational programs to enhance professional competence
- Receiving or having training in TMS therapy to provide supervision coverage as needed
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree with residency in psychiatry
- Completion of accredited psychiatric, pediatric, or adolescent residency
- Fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Board eligibility or certification by ABPN or AOA in psychiatry and child psychiatry at hire
- Wisconsin state medical license
- Medical staff membership at ProHealth Waukesha and/or Oconomowoc Memorial Hospitals
- Minimum 2 years of behavioral health experience
Work schedule includes first shift, flexible hours Monday through Friday, with on-call, weekend, and holiday shifts as necessary to meet program needs.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with psychiatry residency
- Completed fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Board eligibility or certification (ABPN or AOA) in psychiatry and child psychiatry
- Wisconsin medical license
- Medical staff membership at ProHealth Waukesha and/or Oconomowoc Memorial Hospitals
- Minimum 2 years experience in behavioral health
- Willingness to work on-call, weekends, and holidays
- Training or willingness to train in TMS therapy
