Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for patients across diverse settings. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology and therapy, prescribing medications, managing medication administration, collaborating with healthcare providers across specialties, utilizing EHR systems for medical documentation, and participating in clinical research or quality improvement projects.

Qualifications include valid PMHNP certification and licensure, experience with diverse populations, proficiency in EMR/EHR systems, strong knowledge of psychotropic pharmacology and CPT/ICD coding, critical care or hospital medicine background preferred, and excellent patient assessment skills.

Requirements & Qualifications
  • Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current licensure
  • Experience working with diverse populations including children, seniors, and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia
  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Athenahealth or Cerner; telehealth experience desirable
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medication pharmacology and CPT coding for billing
  • Critical care or hospital medicine experience preferred; emergency medicine or Level I Trauma Center experience advantageous
  • Excellent patient assessment and physical examination skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and diagnostic evaluation procedures
