Health Information Specialist I

This onsite, full-time position in Waterbury, CT supports front desk operations and Release of Information (ROI) services at a single healthcare location. The role is patient-facing, handling medical record requests in a timely and compliant manner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serving as front desk contact for patients requesting medical records
  • Providing phone support to patients, providers, and authorized requestors
  • Processing ROI requests accurately and promptly
  • Managing incoming and outgoing medical requests via fax, scan, and electronic sharing
  • Burning medical images to CDs
  • Supporting client communication and administrative duties
  • Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and facility policies

Training includes VROI and onsite on-the-job training during the first 30 days.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years or older
