- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- 1 year experience in Health Information Management (HIM), medical records department, customer service or related field
Preferred:
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Some college preferred
- 2 years experience in an acute care medical records department
- 1 year experience in Release of Information or Analysis role in an acute care setting
- Certification: RHIT or RHIA
