The staff Obstetrics physician will examine and treat common acute illnesses, chronic illnesses and injuries; correctly diagnose diseases and formulate treatment plans; order appropriate laboratory tests and radiological studies; refer to specialists as needed; write prescriptions; and perform office procedures within the scope of specialty expertise protocols and available equipment.
Provider has outpatient duties managing a target of 20 patients per day, including walk-ins.
Afterhours calls are taken by telephone only; no inpatients. Call schedule approximately one week every 7-8 weeks depending on staffing.
Responsibilities include:

- Treating OB conditions such as gestational and chronic hypertension, mild pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, obesity, VBAC, and others per ACOG guidelines.
- Seeking help and guidance as needed.
- Performing relevant procedures competently with documentation.
- Providing and documenting relevant patient education.
- Responding to patient special needs and requests to provide equity-based care.
- Working hours to minimize patient wait time and assist other providers.
- Acting professionally to reduce friction with patients, providers, and staff.
- Attending meetings as requested.
- Maintaining professional appearance.
- Participating in peer reviews, quality, orientation, and committee activities as requested.
- Participating in call panels as scheduled.
- Competency in EPIC EMR required.
- Supervising NP/PAs adequately according to guidelines.
- Using discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Complying with organizational policies.
- Rotating and covering other sites as needed.
- Completing EMR charting by end of clinic business day.
- Willingness to work all locations, business hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree.
- State Medical License; board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Completion of residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine or ability to be licensed in California.
Preferred:
- Two years ambulatory clinical experience post residency.
- Experience with Patient Centered Medical Home model.
- Working knowledge of medical Spanish.

- Doctorate of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- State Medical License.
- Certification/board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

- Completed post-graduate residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Unrestricted or California medical license eligibility.
- Preferred: Two years ambulatory clinical experience post residency.
- Preferred: Familiarity with Patient Centered Medical Home model.
- Preferred: Medical Spanish language skills.
- Competency with EPIC EMR.
- Valid DEA and CPR certifications.
- Ability to work all business hours including evenings and weekends.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive health information confidentially.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
