Crossroad Health Center is a non-profit community health center providing high quality primary health care services to children and adults throughout the tri-state area. Responsibilities:
- Work independently using best professional judgement practicing medicine within scope of practice; collaborate with healthcare providers and staff in a team environment
- Provide care to patients according to quality standards, community standards, applicable law, and state/federal non-discrimination requirements
- Deliver comprehensive primary care for adults and children, including prenatal and women's health services
- Prescribe/administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
- Order, perform, and interpret tests; analyze records and examination information for diagnosis
- Collect, record, and maintain detailed patient medical histories and examination results
- Monitor patient conditions and progress, reevaluating treatments as necessary
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or treatments with patients
- Advise patients/community on diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Refer patients to medical specialists, other practitioners, or health resources as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan or provide treatment
- Train residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide on-call phone services after clinic hours for urgent patient calls
- Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient records per policy
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of personal accountability, ownership, and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and teamwork skills
- Experience in Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment preferred
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Sound judgment and discretion in managing patient and employee issues
- Graduation from accredited medical school with MD or DO degree; Board Eligible/Certified
- Current, valid unrestricted medical license in Ohio
- Current, valid unrestricted DEA registration
