Essential functions include assessing patients' clinical status, performing EEG diagnostic and therapeutic procedures per ABRET and PNES guidelines, interacting with patients and families, setting up and calibrating EEG equipment, recording and monitoring brain electrical activity, recognizing abnormal patterns, troubleshooting, interpreting, and communicating results. Collaborate with physicians and neurodiagnostic teams and maintain departmental policies.
The role includes time management, organizational skills, continuous skills improvement, education and training responsibilities, ensuring safety and infection control, and being a resource for clinical problem solving related to equipment and workflow.
Professional requirements include adhering to dress code, maintaining patient confidentiality, punctuality, representing the organization professionally, compliance with policies, involvement in quality improvement, and attending required meetings and trainings.
Qualifications require more than two years cumulative EEG technology experience including 2+ years pediatric care, current BLS certification, current Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT) certification with at least 2 years as REEGT, and High School diploma or equivalent.
Work is in person, part-time, temporary with 6-24 hours per week. Pay starting at $38.00 per hour.
